HPE PROCESS Ltd has always pioneered new ways of improving food production so that manufacturers can remain competitive.
It’s tricky because the industry is constantly juggling compliance with the needs to ensure food is both safe and delicious.
A major headache for many manufacturers has been how to pump very viscose products such as dough, praline, fudge or meat paste. Being denser they are harder work – this can cause clogging of pump inlets or increase energy costs as they demand extra heat to make them flow into the pump.
For many years the food production industry has relied on auger screw feeders, but these are increasingly viewed as difficult to clean or connect to a pump.
As problem solvers to the food manufacturing industry since we started 26 years ago HpE Process Ltd has been looking to solve this dual problem, our latest innovation is the solution.
The Versaline Vario Twin is a clean solution. It marries a screw feeder directly to our Versatwin pump. The auger feeds the product to the pump screws, squeezing out air and working it into the pump which can then deliver it at high pressure and pulse free to a hopper or extruder.
An additional benefit is that the screw feeder has Clean in Place (CIP) connections that work with the Twin Screw pump’s unique CIP scavenging properties to guarantee full and effective cleaning-in-place. This cuts out the need for operators to strip and clean the equipment, meaning that the plant can be up and running much faster. It helps manufacturers maximise production time while eliminating cross contamination between product batches.
The hopper flange can be adapted to suit pre-existing vessels.
The Versaline Vario Twin conforms to all UK and EU hygienic process compliance as well as being able to deliver payback savings in as little as six months.
